Parade of Sail

Postby Whickham » Tue Aug 30, 2016 11:06 am

Well Blyth had a pretty good few days of weather considering it was a Bank Holiday. A lot of overnight rain Thursday night that continued until about lunch time on Friday. Other than that wall to wall sun. We went up the coast to see them leaving port and heading down to St Mary's Island before setting off on their race across the North Sea.
The following photos were taken from the coast just north of Whitley Bay, so they are all beyond the range of my little camera.
I'll post them without names and try and add them later. So if anyone can name them please do so and I'll add the name to the photo.

HMS TYNE was there and a minehunter that was too far away to identigy. Nice to think that it was HMS BLYTH but don't know.

Even PRINCESS SEAWAYS came out to join in the fun (and get a bit of free advertising)
